In life, we all move through peaks and valleys. While the high points can feel expansive and full of possibility, the valleys often feel isolating, overwhelming, or unclear. My work centers on helping clients feel less alone in those difficult moments and more empowered to navigate them with confidence, clarity, and self‑compassion. I believe that our deepest aspirations—love, peace, fulfillment, and meaningful connection—begin with the relationship we build with ourselves. As we strengthen that inner foundation, we naturally create healthier, more authentic relationships with others. Therapy becomes a space where this transformation can unfold with intention and support. In my practice, I walk alongside my clients with a grounded, non‑judgmental, and compassionate presence. My first priority is to listen deeply. I want to understand what matters most to you, what you’re carrying, and how your experiences have shaped the way you move through the world. I strive to ensure you feel genuinely seen and heard from the very beginning, because healing grows from a foundation of trust and authentic connection. Together, we explore your inner landscape—your strengths, your patterns, your hopes, and the parts of you that may feel stuck or unheard. Through this collaborative process, you can begin to reconnect with your sense of self, develop healthier emotional habits, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling. If you’re ready to step into a space where you don’t have to navigate the valleys alone, I’m here to walk with you.
In our first session, we’ll start by getting to know each other a bit—nothing formal, just a chance to settle in and feel comfortable. From there, we’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life and what led you to reach out. I’ll always remind you that what you share is confidential, and this is a space where you can speak freely. You’ll have room to tell your story in your own way, at your own pace. As we talk, we’ll start to get a clearer picture of what you’re hoping to work on. Together, we’ll come up with goals and a plan that feels right for you, so you know exactly what to expect as we move into future sessions. My aim is for you to leave that first meeting feeling heard, supported, and confident that you’re not navigating this alone.
I provide a therapeutic environment characterized by empathy, non‑judgment, and professional integrity. My clinical approach is individualized and responsive, integrating evidence‑based modalities to address each client’s specific presenting concerns. Treatment is collaborative and goal‑oriented; I work with clients to develop a structured, clinically appropriate treatment plan that reflects their needs, strengths, and desired outcomes. This process ensures continuity of care, supports measurable progress, and promotes long‑term psychological well‑being.
I invite clients with a specific goal or issue and are motivated to engage in therapy for regular sessions. Someone open to new ideas and perspectives. The client is encouraged to offer feedback, willing to actively participate by challenging themselves to work on developing skills in and outside of session. The client will be welcomed by a therapist that is warm, grounded and collaborative that makes space to slow down, reflect and feel safe being vulnerable.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Our thoughts and perceptions influence the way we feel and behave. I use CBT to help clients identify patterns and develop skills to feel better, make better decisions and live a more fulfilling life by integrating healthier ways of being with self and others.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT therapy allows to listen to your own self talk about life situations and traumas. Accepting and acknowledging your thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding them. This will also assist in making behavioral changes to modify what hasn't worked for you in the past. Ultimately, developing skills to practice confident and productive behaviors that align with your personal goals and values.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
We will focus on improving relationship patterns while understanding attachment to improve emotional connection in couples to transform negative patterns.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
In this modality we explore skills to regulate emotions, develop interpersonal effectiveness skills and distress tolerance with mindfulness practices.

LaTonya was patient and really listened to us. I'm happy for the feedback she gave us so we can really grow from our sessions.

I’ve seen therapist since 2000 and this it the first time I’ve felt hopeful about my progress. She listen, asked additional questions and then gave productive feedback. Never did I fell like I was being judged for feeling the way I felt. She let me know that my feelings were valid and gave me some alternative ways to look at situations.
