LCSW, 16 years of experience
For 16 years, I’ve helped individuals rediscover hope, even in seasons of loss or uncertainty. My work is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and practical tools that help you make sense of what you’re feeling and move toward healing. Together, we’ll work to quiet self-criticism, strengthen resilience, and build a life that feels lighter and more aligned with who you are.
In our first session, you can expect a warm and supportive space where we’ll simply get to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what brought you here, what feels most pressing right now, and what you hope to gain from counseling. We’ll move at your pace—no pressure, no judgment—just a chance for you to feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll start to outline your goals and talk about practical strategies that can help you begin feeling more supported and less overwhelmed.
My greatest strengths are compassion, calm presence, and the ability to create a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel genuinely heard. I draw from 17 years of experience supporting people through grief, anxiety, and major life changes. I’m skilled at helping clients untangle overwhelming thoughts and emotions, identify what’s within their control, and find practical steps forward. Clients often share that they feel grounded and understood after our sessions.
I specialize in working with caregivers, helping professionals, and those who tend to give so much of themselves that there’s little left at the end of the day. My ideal clients are compassionate, responsible people who may feel emotionally drained, anxious, or disconnected from their sense of purpose and peace. Many come to therapy wanting to rediscover balance, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with who they are beyond their roles. My practice is best suited for clients who are ready to reflect, grow, and learn practical strategies for managing stress and self-criticism—not for those currently in crisis or needing intensive, ongoing psychiatric care. I provide a calm, supportive space where you can refill your own cup, regain clarity, and begin to feel like yourself again.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the foundation of my work. I use it in a practical, compassionate way—helping clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and how small shifts in one area can create meaningful change in another. My 11 years as a hospice social worker taught me that real healing happens when evidence-based tools are paired with empathy and understanding. Through telehealth, I bring that same heart-centered approach to a virtual space, helping clients slow down, gain insight, and develop skills to manage anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I focus on identifying what’s within your control, building resilience, and finding realistic solutions that fit your life—so that you can move forward feeling more grounded, capable, and at peace.
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) is at the heart of how I connect with clients. My years as a hospice social worker showed me how deeply we all need gentleness toward ourselves—especially in times of pain, guilt, or self-criticism. In therapy, I help clients develop a kinder, more balanced relationship with themselves by exploring how our minds are wired for threat and self-judgment, and how compassion can calm and re-center us. Through telehealth, I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can slow down and learn practical ways to quiet the inner critic, nurture self-compassion, and build emotional resilience. My goal is to help you respond to life’s challenges not with shame or fear, but with understanding, courage, and care for yourself and others.

Simply put, without Laura's advice and therapeutic solutions I would have blown my head right off. I have had a number of therapists throughout the years, she is unique, one-of-a-kind, warm, solution oriented and authentic professional who truly cares about her clients. I am a person to her, and not another hour-session.
