New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist who helps people understand themselves on a deeper level and change patterns that keep showing up in their lives. Many of my clients appear to have it together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. They often find themselves repeating the same cycles in relationships, overextending themselves, or struggling to manage their emotions in a way that feels grounded and consistent. I am direct and honest in how I show up. I create a space where you feel supported while also being challenged to grow. I pay attention to patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck, and I help you begin to shift them in a way that is realistic and sustainable. My focus is not just on talking through problems, but on helping you build awareness and take action so that change happens outside of session as well. My work centers on anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I support clients in building emotional awareness, strengthening regulation, setting boundaries, and understanding how past experiences influence current patterns. Many of the clients I work with are ready to take a deeper look at themselves and move out of survival mode into a more intentional way of living. I use approaches such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, and I tailor the work to each client's needs. Whether you are just starting therapy or returning to continue your growth, I meet you where you are and support you in doing the work to create meaningful change.
In the first session, we will focus on understanding what brings you in and what you want to change. I will ask questions about your current concerns, background, and patterns so I can get a clear picture of your needs. You can expect a space where you feel heard, supported, and also guided with intention. We will begin identifying goals and I will share how I approach the work. This session is about building clarity and starting the process, not having everything figured out. You can show up as you are.
My greatest strengths are my trauma-informed approach and the depth of experience I bring from working across multiple settings, including community mental health, private practice, and correctional settings. This has allowed me to work with a wide range of clients and understand how different experiences, environments, and systems impact behavior, emotional regulation, and relationship patterns. I can quickly identify patterns and help clients make clear connections among their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I do not stay at the surface level. I support clients in understanding where patterns come from while also helping them take practical steps to shift them. I balance insight with action so that the work leads to real change, not just awareness. I am also skilled at creating a space where clients feel supported while being challenged. I meet clients where they are, but I do not keep them stuck there. My approach is grounded, direct, and focused on helping clients build awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and show up differently in their daily lives.
My ideal clients are individuals who feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand but are ready to do the work to change them. Many are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unfulfilled internally. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or difficult life transitions, and are looking for more than just surface-level coping. They want to understand themselves on a deeper level and create lasting change. I work best with clients who are open to self-reflection and willing to explore how their past experiences, beliefs, and patterns are shaping their present. Some may feel emotionally overwhelmed and unsure how to regulate their responses, while others may feel numb, avoidant, or disconnected from themselves and others. Many are also working to improve communication, set boundaries, and develop healthier relationship dynamics. My ideal clients are not necessarily looking for quick fixes. They are ready to be challenged, to sit with discomfort at times, and to engage in the process of growth. At the same time, they want support that feels grounded, collaborative, and practical. I am especially aligned with clients who want to build a stronger sense of self, reconnect with their values, and show up more authentically in their lives. Whether they are just beginning their healing journey or have done some work before and are ready to go deeper, I support them in developing awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, and creating meaningful, sustainable change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I support clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and shifting them to create real change. I’ve used CBT with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges across different settings. In practice, I keep it collaborative and practical, using tools like thought restructuring and behavior changes while tailoring it to each client’s needs.
Faith based therapy
I use a faith-based approach by integrating clients’ spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process. My experience includes supporting individuals who want their faith to be part of their healing, helping them explore how their beliefs shape their thoughts, behaviors, and life decisions. In practice, I help clients align their thoughts and actions with their values and faith, using spirituality as a source of strength, guidance, and meaning while navigating life challenges.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with clients who struggle with regulating emotions and navigating relationships. My experience includes working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, react quickly, or have difficulty managing distress. In my practice, I focus on helping clients build awareness, regulate emotions, tolerate distress, and improve how they communicate and set boundaries, using skills that can be applied in real life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use a mindfulness-based approach, helping clients be in the present in a nonjudgmental way. My experience includes working with clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or disconnected from themselves. In my practice, I support clients in building awareness of their thoughts and emotions so they can respond more intentionally instead of reacting automatically.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution-focused approach to help clients move toward change by building on their strengths. My experience includes working with clients who feel stuck and want practical ways to move forward. In my practice, I focus on what’s working, what clients want to be different, and small, realistic steps that help them create meaningful change.
