New to Grow
Hello! I love meeting people where they are, and helping them transition to their next best thing. Whether it be transitioning from college to adult life, or perimenopause ladies rocking into their next best self, I love being there to support when you're unsure and to reflect and help processing things that just making sense...yet! Transitions can make us anxious for trying something new, or depressed from letting something go. I am there as a calm and positive force for you to springboard into what's next, while honoring and holding on to what still is a part of the YOU you are growing into!
At our first session together you can expect a calm, open and supportive environment where you can be fully you. If you are ready and comfortable we can go back to learn the history of what brought you to our session that day. You can share things you're feeling stuck on and things you've tried in the past. Then we will make a plan together of goals and steps forward to make progress each time we meet.
Everyone says I'm super calm. :) I really honor the sacredness of our space shared together and the parts of you that you share with me. I try to have an open and supportive space and will reflect back your shared story with compassion and gentle curiosity.
The clients I see are feeling stuck, either with anxiety or depression from life transition or identity or relational issues that they just can't manage on their own anymore. They are feeling caught between the past and present and the things that worked before aren't anymore. They are ready to take a baby step forward, cautiously curious and ready to think about change.
A lot of times, things we are doing now that aren't work are coping strategies we learned as a kid that aren't having the same affect as an adolescent or adult and that maybe don't work outside of our family structure at our work or school. This kind of therapy helps us to look back so that we can better look and live forward.
Sometimes our thoughts have made habits and patterns that used to help us but don't anymore. We practice new ways of thinking and work on making them helpful habits.
Being mindful, and more connected to ourselves, helps us to love ourselves more and allows for growth. Within that love is strength and confidence to move into the world and our relationships with thoughtful insight and care for ourselves and others.
