With nearly 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I specialize in helping clients manage stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and life transitions. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth, and my goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings together to define the pathway to your future self.
First session
During your first session, we'll get started with any questions you have about the process, what to expect, and even me personally. I want to make sure you feel like the therapy you're looking for is a good fit and if not, point you in the right direction!
Strengths
I approach therapy with the understanding that each person is unique, and no two experiences are exactly alike. This is why I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client. Whether you’re seeking to build better coping skills, address long-standing emotional pain, or work through a specific life challenge, I am here to support you on that journey.
Ideal clients
A client who is navigating life changes and needing guidance to move forward with wisdom, courage, and hope. A client who wants to embrace their purpose in life and achieve their goals. There is a mindset that change is available, achievable, and always ready for you to take the first step. You may not have any goals right now but our job together is to create them together!
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is used in therapy to help individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. Together we will work to understand how thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. Through techniques such as challenging unhelpful beliefs, problem-solving, and practising coping strategies, CBT helps improve emotional wellbeing and develop healthier responses.
Faith-based therapy
Faith-based therapy combines psychological techniques with religious beliefs and spiritual practices to support emotional wellbeing. We might incorporate prayer, scripture, forgiveness, and faith-based guidance alongside traditional therapeutic approaches. It helps individuals explore challenges through their spiritual beliefs, find meaning and hope, strengthen coping strategies, and develop a greater sense of peace and purpose.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy helps individuals focus on the present moment without judgement. I will you teach techniques such as meditation, breathing exercises, and body awareness to help you recognize your thoughts and emotions. This approach encourages acceptance, reduces stress and anxiety, improves emotional regulation, and helps individuals develop healthier ways of responding to difficult situations.
Strength-Based
focuses on identifying and building upon an individual’s existing strengths, abilities, and resources. Therapists help clients recognise their positive qualities, past achievements, and coping skills to overcome challenges. This approach encourages confidence, resilience, and independence, empowering individuals to develop solutions, achieve personal goals, and improve their overall emotional wellbeing.
