New to Grow
I am a licensed clinician with a CADC who specializes in supporting adults facing higher acuity mental health needs and substance use challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, with a focus on helping clients strengthen their resilience and build healthy coping strategies. I also work with children and adolescents experiencing autism or behavioral issues, supporting them in developing skills that foster growth and stability. My goal is to empower each client to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and identifying your goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, strengths, and challenges, and together we’ll create a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and tailored to your needs.
My greatest strengths are creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space and using evidence-based approaches like motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based methods. I adapt my style to each client, helping them feel empowered, build resilience, and achieve meaningful change.
My ideal clients are adults navigating higher acuity mental health concerns or substance use challenges, as well as children and adolescents who need support with autism, behavioral issues, or emotional regulation. I am best positioned to help clients seeking practical tools, compassionate support, and meaningful progress toward stability and growth.
I have experience using motivational interviewing as a collaborative, client-centered approach that helps people explore their own motivations for change. In my practice, I use it by asking open-ended questions, affirming strengths, and reflecting back what I hear so clients can resolve ambivalence and take ownership of their goals.
I have experience using Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to strengthen parent-child relationships and improve child behavior through live coaching. In my practice, I guide parents during real-time interactions, helping them use positive reinforcement, consistent limits, and effective communication strategies to build stronger, more supportive connections with their children.
I have experience applying trauma-informed care by recognizing how past trauma can affect a person’s emotions, behaviors, and relationships. In my practice, I focus on creating safety, building trust, and empowering clients, while tailoring interventions in ways that avoid re-traumatization and support healing.
I have experience using a strengths-based approach by focusing on clients’ existing skills, resources, and resilience rather than only their problems. In my practice, I highlight and build upon these strengths to empower clients, foster self-efficacy, and support sustainable progress toward their goals.
