About me

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT). I received my BA degree from the university of Connecticut in 1991 and my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2010 from Southerh, CT. State University. I've been licensed in Connecticut as an LMFT since 2013. I subsequently obtained my LCMFT in the State of Maryland in 2023.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to provide unconditional support and positive regards to individuals from all walks of life. I provide a safe, open and honest atmosphere that promotes healing, growth, respect and honesty.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals over the age of 18 yo. Although I have an extensive history working with children and adolescents throughout my career, I believe I am most effective working with adults while helping them to manage emotional issues, life cycle transitions and relationship building.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have helped client to accept life experiences as they come, without evaluating or trying to change them. I encourage them to build a new and more compassionate relationship with difficult experiences to promote peace of mind and healing.

Attachment-based

I provide brief but effective therapy services based upon developing or rebuilding trust and centers on expressing emotions. I help the client to look at the connection between their early childhood attachment experiences with primary caregivers, usually with parents, and their ability to develop normally and ultimately form healthy emotional and physical relationships as an adult.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I offer short-term behavioral treatment focused on problem-solving. Clients are encouraged to explore relationships between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and the behaviors that follow.

Couples Counseling

I provide cohesive and effective couples counseling services, designed to strengthen and promote effective communication.

Christian Counseling

I provide individuals with Christian counseling services which complement and support a healthy and balanced spiritual, physical and emotional well-being,
