Do you lose it over the smallest things? Is it difficult to shut off your brain at night? Are you not smiling and laughing like you used to? I help individuals manage their anxiety and depression. Together we will use a Cognitive Therapy approach and a Strengths based approach to help identify and dispute your negative thought patterns and to help you find practical solutions for your concerns. Let therapy be a safe space to express your thoughts and feelings so you can genuinely smile again.
In our first session together we will do brief introductions and then try to cover what challenges you are facing. This will help us create a specific treatment plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.
My biggest strength is my ability to sense what others are thinking and feeling, show acceptance and be able to understand and identify with other's experiences. I enjoy working with adults with anxiety and depression and mood disorders.
Using CBT helps you learn to identify and reframe negative thoughts which have caused anxiety and depression and other undesirable moods.
Helping individuals work through grief and loss, helping them understand that loss is something that you get through not over.
Helping you see your strengths and abilities, and help you focus on your resourcefulness and the good and identify solutions. These solutions come from you as a part of the counseling experience.
A part of therapy is focusing on being emotionally supportive, validating feelings and providing support and encouragement when you are experiencing life’s challenges or going through work stress, recent family issues.
