I am a LCSW-QS who works with adults virtually (FL & Colorado) and in-person in Jacksonville, FL. I provide services in couples therapy (cash/self pay), sex and intimacy issues (cash/self pay), relationship struggles (cash/self pay), anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, including postpartum and couples intimacy concerns.
My clients typically start to see progress after our third session together as we love building rapport and understanding over here!
I take a warm, but direct collaborative approach using various modalities such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Method Level One, EMDR, and I am trained as a Birth Doula, to help clients feel more connected and whole. I am earning my sex therapy certification with SHA.
First session
In our first session we'll get to know each other a little starting with your history. We'll dive into why you're seeking therapy and how you best approach learning. Lastly, we'll create a custom tailored plan on how to start our journey together to reach your goals. Working with me means you'll never feel like a diagnosis. I'm direct, warm, and won't dance around the hard stuff including shame, and the messy parts of relationships. We start with a consultation to make sure we're a good fit, then build a clear picture of where you are and where you want to go. My clients often describe feeling heard in ways they haven't before and showing up differently in their relationships. I work best with couples willing to be honest, individuals tired of surviving, and moms ready to reclaim themselves.
Strengths
My path to this work wasn't a straight line and that's made me a better therapist. I was drawn to trauma and relationships early in my career, but kept finding myself with couples in pain, new moms lost in their own bodies, and individuals carrying shame around intimacy. I pursued doula training to better support life transitions, which deepened my understanding of how birth and postpartum reshape relationships. Intimacy deserves the same rigor and compassion as anything else we bring to therapy.
Ideal clients
I serve individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, sexual and intimacy issues, confidence concerns, and relationship issues. Couples, intimacy/sex therapy is self/cash pay. My clients often feel more confident after sessions together. I am licensed in Florida and Colorado. My clients enjoy rapport and support but also a subtle push past defense mechanisms if necessary. I provide virtual services in FL and CO and in person sessions in Jacksonville, FL. I am currently earning my sex therapy certification with SHA.
