Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. I have also gained specialized training in leadership and creativity that I often apply to my client's challenges and therapeutic goals. I have worked with a range of client populations ranging from children to adults for the last 27. I have provided direct therapy for approximately 8 of these years. I have helped clients with different challenges and issues that have brought them emotional distress, conflict in personal challenges, and strife in interpersonal relationships.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and allow an opportunity for my client to report their overarching challenge. I may have my client give me further context and background that may be relevant to the challenge. We may conclude by honing in on a conceptualization of the specific challenge to address.
I believe that my greatest strengths as a provider are my genuine interest and optimism in helping my client gain self-awareness and agency in addressing their current and future challenges. I do this by working with clients collaboratively and in allowing them a safe space to share challenges and develop their willingness to initiate and engage in productive change.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people build a healthier, more compassionate relationship with their thoughts and emotions. Instead of trying to get rid of difficult feelings, we focus on making space for them and learning how to step back—or “defuse”—from thoughts that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll clarify what truly matters to you and take practical, meaningful steps in that direction. My goal is to offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood and begin creating a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
Gottman method
I use the Gottman Method to help couples strengthen their connection, improve communication, and navigate conflict in healthier ways. Together, we work on building understanding, managing difficult conversations, and breaking patterns that can lead to disconnection. My goal is to create a supportive space where both partners feel heard and respected, while learning practical tools to deepen trust, strengthen friendship, and move toward a more secure and fulfilling relationship.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand and manage intense emotions. Together, we focus on building practical tools like mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and effective communication. My approach is supportive and collaborative, helping you find balance between accepting where you are and making meaningful changes. I aim to create a space where you feel understood while gaining skills to navigate challenges with more confidence and stability.
