Hey there, I’m Chris! If you feel like you’re giving everything you’ve got and it’s still not enough, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, emotional spirals, or shutdown, even though you look “put together” on the outside. Life, relationships, and work all feel like too much. You’re tired of being told to “just try harder” or "figure it out." I get it! I’m a licensed counselor with over 22 years of experience, and I know these struggles personally. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 36 and have raised 3 kids with ADHD (one also has Autism). I know how isolating it feels when we just can't keep up or "do the things" everybody else seems to do so effortlessly. My approach is compassionate and collaborative; we are teammates working together. Clients often say it’s the first time therapy has truly made sense.

Maybe you’re stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, emotional spirals, or shutdown, even though you look “put together” on the outside.

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing who you are. It’s about understanding yourself, building tools that actually work for you in your life, and creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and accepted. I offer online therapy in PA, FL, and SC.

First session

We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve already tried, and what you want to get out of therapy. No pressure to have it all figured out. This is just a starting point. Together, we’ll set a couple of small, doable goals so you can begin feeling some relief right away. This isn’t about performing or saying the “right” things. I show up as my real, messy self so you can too. If you’re feeling unsure or overwhelmed, that’s completely okay. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. By the end of our first session, you’ll have a clearer picture of what’s next and at least one practical tool to take with you.

Strengths

🍂 I’m direct but kind. You’ll get honesty with compassion. 🍎 I give you tools you can actually use, not just insight. 🍁 I understand these things two-fold, professionally and personally. 🏈 I connect with people who’ve struggled to connect in therapy before. 🎃 I use humor and real talk. Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or clinical to be effective.

Ideal clients

I work best with high-functioning, motivated adults who want direct, honest therapy with some humor and zero BS. You’re burned out and exhausted from holding everything together for everyone else, stuck in patterns of people-pleasing and perfectionism. You hold yourself to a higher standard than you hold others and figured out that “try harder”, “push through and just do it” just aren’t working for you. You’re self-aware, you know what’s wrong, and insight alone isn’t working. You’re ready for actual change, not just talking about it. If this sounds like you, we’ll probably work well together.

Treatment methods

Eclectic

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. We’ll build a toolkit that fits your life — not the other way around. This may include learning ways to calm your body when emotions run high, untangling patterns that keep you stuck, building strategies for follow-through, or finding creative ways to express things that feel hard to put into words. We might explore the different “parts” of you that show up in stress — like the inner critic, the perfectionist, or the "avoider" — so they stop pulling you in different directions (here’s a secret, some of these parts helped you at one time in some way; they’re just not as helpful now where you are 😉). I use a lot of analogies to help therapy talk “make sense” and relatable to daily life (e.g., burnout is the same as letting your car run out of gas or having 1% phone battery). I also support executive functioning by helping you build realistic systems for focus, motivation, and task completion, especially when everyday things feel so overwhelming. Everything we use is practical, flexible, and designed to meet you where you are, not where others think you should be.

Integrative

I am Level 2 Certified in Unified Protocol (a combination of Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Exposure methods). This is a curriculum-based and more structured therapeutic approach. I still add my personality so it doesn’t feel like you’re stuck in a mandatory meeting you’re forced to attend. One of my clients described this method as the border of a puzzle that helped all the chunks of things we worked on fall into place to build a clearer picture.

EMDR

I am an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist. I use a software program that allows us to do EMDR virtually. Fun fact, I am also an apprentice in Therapeutic Fly-Fishing with EMDR (TF-EMDR)®️ working toward full certification (if you’re located in North Central PA, it’s an option 🎣).

Before working with Chris, my attempts at talk therapy were unsuccessful - It often felt as though I was filling a time slot. I was drawn to her profile for her approach to therapy - She is genuinely here for YOU, and meets you wherever you may be. Her approach is compassionate, thoughtful, empowering, gentle, and above all else, realistic. I always feel welcome and safe during sessions with her, and I feel very blessed to be able to continue to meet with her for guidance and a good laugh.
