Hi there! A lot of people think therapy is a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity to experience each other as real people. My clients know that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve your goals, learn more about yourself, and understand how your mind and brain work. While progressing along this path, you will enjoy the process of learning about yourself and perceiving yourself in new ways. My experience is that therapy doesn't need to be painful. I know it can be intimidating to call a therapist, but I hope you will call me and see how I can help you. My background is in neuropsychology, so I enjoy helping people understand how their brains work, in order to find the best way to manage anxiety, depression, and just plain dealing with life!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I have been a therapist for 25+ years, and I have helped people figure themselves out and find solutions to their problems. I have trained other therapists, and worked with individuals from all walks of life. I have worked a lot with people dealing with loved ones who have brain disorders (head trauma, strokes, dementia). Life is too short to deal with bad relationships, grudges, anxiety, anger and depression. I want you to be in control of your emotions instead of letting them control you, and find purpose and meaning in your life.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, but I also explain how your brain actually processes data and how understanding this can help you "hack" your brain to be more in control and effective.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I see my strengths as twofold. If you are neurotypical, I can help you deal with moods and anxiety by harnessing your strengths, and if you or a family member have neurocognitive deficits, I can help you deal with those in the best way possible
