As a biracial person, I have experienced the same racial discrimination, microaggressions, and racism that my clients of color have encountered. My experiences offer me a unique perspective and understanding of how these encounters influence and impact POC and how they show up in the world. It is my goal to work with my clients collaboratively to assist them in navigating such encounters that impact them in all areas of their lives. My goal is to help my clients identify, connect, and process these experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
During your first session we will discuss the Who, What, and Why of it all. Who is coming into therapy and gaining historical information of your story. We will discuss what is brining you into therapy today and why now. What is occurring currently that has led you to make the decision to start. Everyone requires something different, so we will discuss your goals and work together to develop a plan for your process.
My ability to connect with clients on a personable level that allows expression of their true authentic self in a supportive and nurturing environment.
I love working with BIPOC community, LGBTQIA, and professionals within my field and students. I'm also excited to offer Telehealth which has made therapy more accessible to people who may not have otherwise been able to find the time and allows for wider access to people outside of my area.
Every individual comes into therapy to address their unique needs. Therefore my treatment modality incorporates multiple treatment modalities depending on the individual in front of me. I consider each clients unique and work collaboratively with them in addressing their needs.
