Hi 😊,I am a BIPOC Licensed Clinical Social Worker . I specialize in working with individuals with a wide range of life experiences spanning from domestic violence, foster care , trauma, family conflict, life transitions culture and racism and QBTBPIOC LGBTQIA+ issues. I use strength-based and evidence based practices to view you from a whole person perspective and the environment.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will discuss goodness of fit. I place your mental health goals in the forefront, in doing so assessing if the skill set I possess are best suited for your needs. I will also ask questions to get to know you and what brings you to therapy in this season of life . If you’ve been in therapy I will ask about previous experiences and how I can best support you .There will be dedicated time made to answer questions that you have about my therapy style/approach.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I meet clients where they are ( in a non judgmental safe space )and helping them to highlight their strengths while creating healthy connections to feeling/emotions.

I welcome clients 18+ to my practice . My clients are dedicated to the therapeutic process , evaluating the areas of their lives they’d like to see improved.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Emotions are a part of the human experience, developing healthy ways to accept challenges emotions. Utilizing this approach helps curate a healthier relationship with your feeling/emotions and thoughts which can lead to and increase in center of control and confidence.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We will work together as a team to process emotions/feelings. We will navigate emotions and thoughts together to best obtain the version of you that you are striving to be.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

The world is a placed filled with diversity that is not always understood or accepted. In my practice I pride myself on providing a safe. empathetic and culturally attuned therapeutic space.

Strength-Based

Everyone one has strengths that at times we lose sight of . By incorporating a strength based approach I will aid you in exploring areas of strength/ capability that can be pivoted to other areas of life.

Gender-affirming therapy

Affirming and cultivating a healing space for QTBIPIC/LGBTQA+ individuals. We will explore intersectionality and how each aspect of self can have an effect on mental health.
