I have tried therapy a few times over the years and never could find a therapist that made me feel comfortable, at ease, heard, and open enough for me to ever go back. Dr. Lesa has done exactly that. I look forward to our sessions. Her approach is genuine and she truly does care. You can see it in her face and hear it in her voice. She's given me the courage to keep coming back...and that is HUGE for me. I hope we can continue our journey together.

My husband and I made an appointment for couples and individual therapy with Lesa. Our first session with Lesa went very well. We both felt very comfortable talking to her from the beginning. She gives off a very authentic and understanding attitude and asks intentional questions. We both felt very safe in speaking with her and are hopeful for the future sessions.
I am rostered and certified nationally as a TF-CBT provider of care. Having worked with victims of Sexual and Physical assault, my practice is focused on identifying the potential traumatic experiences that are contributing to the concerns presenting during treatment.
I believe the client should be an active part of their own treatment process. And I find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to be very effective in engaging patients in their healing. The skills learned can be used for a lifetime and often provides the client with a feeling of control and understanding regarding their own mental health status.
Communication is Key! Teaching couples who are struggling in their relationship to listen to each other and respond constructively is my approach. Practicing love languages and finding time for each other is part of the ongoing work. Couples can learn to reconnect and find the affection and bond once again.
Having been a child and family therapist for nearly 20 years, the focus of my practice is on finding the dysfunction, improving communication and healing wounds that have resulted from ongoing discord or previous experienced trauma. My methods are practical and CBT based in general.
