Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my Masters from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and have over 11 years experience. I help individual adults through major life changes and stressors as well as in supporting their future growth.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions along with specific challenges you are facing. I will complete a quick assessment in order to give me an idea of the history of your symptoms and important events that have occurred throughout your life. Lastly, I will go over guidelines for late/missed appointments and allow you time to ask questions about treatment, should you have any.
I have worked with clients struggling with anxious and/or depressive symptoms for several years now. While I use CBT, I also tailor therapy to fit each individual according to their unique situation and goals. My counseling style is gentle, integrative, and collaborative. Clients and I work together to decrease symptoms and make lasting, positive changes.
I love working with adult individuals who are open to exploring their past and are willing to use various techniques in order to change their current thoughts and behaviors. Clients often find a lot of success in decreasing anxious and depressive symptoms when utilizing CBT tools along with others such as meditation or exercise.

Over the years, I have found CBT to be helpful in giving clients tools they can use in their everyday life. Together, clients and I work together to explore their core beliefs and automatic thoughts. Clients learn how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and ways to work towards changing what is not serving them.
