Are you struggling with: -fear, worry, or self-doubt? -sadness and a lack of contentment? -grief and loss? -major life changes or transitions? Often our emotions negatively impact our daily life and our relationships. It is possible to feel better and take back control of your emotions. I would be honored to help you get there. I believe therapy is most helpful when it is driven by your specific needs and preferences. I will listen carefully to understand your goals and will partner with you in working toward them. Taking the first step to begin therapy can feel overwhelming, but I will offer you a safe and nonjudgmental space to begin your process of growth and healing. I believe it is essential to have a good client-therapist fit. Let's meet and see if working together could benefit you.
Our first session will allow us to outline your current concerns and goals, as well as to determine whether we are a good fit. Moving forward, we will align our therapeutic work with your values and preferences, checking in along the way to make sure we are heading in the right direction.
I am an attentive and nonjudgmental listener. I recognize that opening yourself up to a therapist takes courage and determination. I will honor the trust you have placed in me by creating a safe space for you to explore your current situation and your goals. I am particularly interested in working with: -individuals struggling with anxiety and depression -postpartum mothers facing the emotional challenges of this unique time of life -young adults transitioning to college or workforce -individuals navigating issues of grief and loss
Adults (18+), postpartum parents, clients facing grief/loss, depression, anxiety.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with my clients by helping them identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns. I guide clients to recognize distorted thinking and help them reframe these thoughts into more realistic, balanced perspectives. I also encourage clients to engage in behavioral experiments and develop healthier coping strategies to manage stress and anxiety.
I use Gestalt therapy to help clients explore and resolve internal conflicts or unresolved emotions. In this technique, I guide clients to express their thoughts/feelings by imagining they are talking directly to a person or problem. I may also guide clients to take on the perspective of the person they were speaking to, allowing them to explore the situation from a different angle. This role reversal helps clients gain clarity, process emotions, and develop new insights into their relationships and internal struggles.
