New to Grow
I am a mental health provider, LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), with more than fifteen years of experience working with women victims of abusive relationships. I am EMDR-certified and trauma-focused CBT-certified. I specialize in helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, and depression. My approach is highly collaborative, working together to uncover practical tools and deeper self-awareness to live a more fulfilling life.
The first session would be more of an introduction, building rapport, establishing safety, and outlining expectations. Explore what brings the client to therapy, and listen more than you talk.
I have more a humanistic approach where I focus on the character and experiences of the individuals as its own framework to build treatment around. The client can reach their own conclusions about what needs to be addressed within themselves in order to heal and grow.
I do not have a preference for clients. I don't work with children. I have many years of experience working with Latino women victims of domestic violence and abusive relationships. The therapy process is difficult; therefore, the client should be highly motivated, self-reflective, and willing to put in the work required to change. Someone who respects the therapeutic process and takes an active and responsible role in their own personal growth.

I identify as
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I work with the cognitive approach because it helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful, trauma-related thoughts and reduce their ongoing negative effects on daily life.
Humanistic
The humanistic approach is based on the client's unique subjective experience. It empowers the client to understand their emotions, and promote a strong sense of personal fulfillment and authenticity.
