(she/her)
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Minnesota and have been working in the mental health field since 2021. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a major in Social Work. I graduated with my Master’s degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Social Work in 2021. I have experience working with children, families, teenagers, and adults.
In our diagnostic intake session, we will work to identify things you wish to address in therapy, symptoms that are presenting that have been impacting current life, and take time to get to know one another. I strive to gain comfortability for individuals in our first session and paint a clear picture for directions we will take therapy in.
In the past, I have worked in a variety of settings. From serving veterans and their family members in a support center, working with high risk teenagers in an intensive residential youth program, or in general community mental health, I strive to meet any individual where they are at. I have a history of mindfulness based research and how these skills can be used and adapted to any individual. In session I work to bring an empathetic approach with a open ear to each conversation.
I have experience in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, body image issues, life changes/stressors, substance use, LGBTQIA+ communities, military/first responder/healthcare workers, and other disorders. I am trained in TF-CBT, trauma work, grief, and in treating other mental health relating disorders. I serve ages 6-65+. I use a client-centered strengths-based approach to meet client’s with where they are at in their current life. Together in therapy, we will work together to explore your individual healing journey at your own pace. I work to bring a warm and welcoming approach to each therapeutic experience in session.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I am trained in TF-CBT and use CBT based approaches in my therapeutic space.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In undergraduate studies, I completed multiple research projects on mindfulness topics and skills and utilize them in my therapeutic practice. I have found great benefit in learning to remain in the present.
Trauma Informed Care
Supporting clients in their healing journey with past trauma is something I have been passionate about for years. I support clients using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to address past trauma symptoms.

Kind, thoughtful, and the ultimate supporter. These are just a few characteristics I would use to describe Rachel. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, It was really important to me to find someone who could accept me as I am. Rachel makes me feel so seen and heard. She is open minded about trying different modalities in her work, which I enjoy. She is excellent at steering the session or to let you steer, if you so choose. Rachel is the best!
