Anthony Edie
Hi, I’m Anthony, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood concerns. I enjoy helping people make sense of what they’re experiencing and feel more confident about their care. You can ask questions, share concerns about medication, and talk openly about what has or hasn’t helped. Together, we’ll build a plan around your needs and goals, with supportive conversations and practical coping strategies alongside medication management.
I want you to feel heard and comfortable asking questions. My approach to medication management starts with understanding your life and making treatment decisions together.
First session
Our first appointment focuses on understanding what brings you in and what you hope will change. We’ll discuss your symptoms, mental health and medical history, current medications, and previous treatment experiences. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. We’ll talk through your options, including whether medication may be appropriate, and develop an initial plan together. There will be room for your questions and a discussion of next steps.
Strengths
I bring a practical, approachable style to psychiatric care. My background includes outpatient psychiatry, intensive treatment programs, substance use services, and medical settings, which helps me consider how mental health, physical health, and everyday life affect one another. I take time to listen, explain treatment options clearly, and make decisions with you. As treatment progresses, we’ll discuss what’s helping, what concerns you, and whether adjustments are needed.
Ideal clients
I work with children, adolescents, and adults seeking psychiatric evaluation and medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders. Whether worry is disrupting your sleep, low mood is making daily tasks harder, or trouble focusing is affecting school or work, we can talk through what’s happening and explore your treatment options at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT-informed strategies alongside medication management to help you recognize unhelpful thought patterns and build practical skills for managing stress, routines, and everyday challenges.
Supportive
I incorporate supportive psychotherapy into psychiatric care, offering space to discuss stressors, feel heard, and strengthen coping skills. This work complements medication management and your broader treatment goals.
Motivational Interviewing
I use motivational interviewing techniques to explore your goals, concerns, and mixed feelings about change. We’ll discuss options together and identify next steps that fit your priorities.
