New clients continue care with this provider

Ready to spill? My name is Nancy—licensed therapist, chai enthusiast, and your future emotional support human (if you want me to be). I offer individual therapy grounded in clinical insight, infused with millennial energy, and flavored with a touch of South Indian spice. I bring both cultural depth and relatability to my work with teens and adults across the state of Florida. As someone living with progressive vision loss, I know what it feels like when life starts to unravel. But I also know that healing is real. You don’t have to choose between honoring your culture and caring for your mental health, you can do both.Whether you're untangling your identity, spiraling at 3 a.m., or trying to doom-scroll your way out of an existential crisis, I got you. We’ll explore it all together. My approach blends several therapeutic styles: *Psychodynamic Therapy – to uncover how childhood and family dynamics still show up today (yep, we’re going there) *CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) – to help reframe those “I’m not enough” thoughts *Mindfulness – because sometimes we just need to breathe and not dissociate *Culturally Sensitive, Trauma-Informed Care – to support deep insight and healing Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and real. We’ll laugh, cry, unpack, and grow (sometimes all in one session) You deserve a space where you don’t have to over-explain yourself, mask your emotions, or code-switch your pain.I offer that space and I bring my full, authentic self into it, so you can too. If you're ready to start healing, reclaim your story, or just want to vibe-check a therapist who gets it, book a consult or reach out. And yes, we can absolutely spill the chai together. :)

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My first session is my favorite session. It is where we build our therapeutic rapport so I not only gather information and create achievable goals for clients, but I also try to relate with them with empathic listening. I like my clients to feel comfortable so you can expect me to crack a joke or connect with you through a mutual interest or experience. Seeking therapy to begin with is nerve wrecking so I want my clients to feel at ease and not feel like they're getting interrogated. I go at your pace so if something is uncomfortable to talk about, don't worry, we can talk about it another time when you're ready. If you don't want to ever talk about it, that's okay too! I will meet you where you're at and we'll take it from there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is being an empath. I feel that I connect well with my clients because I've been in their shoes. I am a daughter, a sister, a wife. and mother of two little boys. I have a history of childhood trauma which I have learned to overcome and heal from. It led to my career choice of becoming a therapist and having the passion to help others. It genuinely makes me feel happy when my clients tell me they feel so much better after our session and look forward to coming to therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I offer my services primarily working with teenagers and young adults/newborn moms hence the Gen Z slang term for the name of my practice, "spill the chai therapy". My areas of expertise are h ADHD, Trauma/PTSD, Pregnancy/Postpartum Depression, and Visual Impairment/Blindness-particularly in Retina Disorders.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By using CBT, I have helped clients challenge their reoccurring thoughts, help them recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other, and change their thinking patterns. This will ultimately lead to a less stressed life leaving clients more confident and at ease with coping with their problems.

Psychodynamic

The Psychodynamic approach is used where I can help clients understand how unresolved conflicts and symptoms from past dysfunctional relationships can influence their current behaviors. This approach can help clients be more insightful and self aware of their symptoms and allow them to improve their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships with others.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a great approach for those struggling with PTSD or ADHD. Clients will learn how to focus on the present moment and let go of past or future worries. By redirecting your thoughts, you will have the ability to shift your thoughts and attention despite having distractions. Through cognitive inhibitiom, clients can learn how to suppress other thoughts that interfere with focus through grounding techniques. As a result, this type of therapy improves attention, memory, stress, emotional awareness, acceptance, and regulation.
