I am is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the NBCC, currently practicing in Connecticut. I have 7 years of experience working with adults individually and in groups. I specializes in depression, anxiety, and women’s emotional wellness. I also has extensive experience with all types of interpersonal relationship issues, complex trauma, grief, and working with first responders.
I believe that counseling is a relationship experience AND a collaborative experience. You, the client, is the driver and I hold the map. I want you to experience your truth and be able to express it without feelings of judgment. My therapeutic goals for you are based on your needs, wants and expectations. Whether it be assisting you in deriving meaning from life experiences or helping you learn and apply mental health techniques to help with present struggles.
I believe each one of us is unique and one style of treatment does not fit all. I use an eclectic style of therapy that may utilize a diverse set of evidence based treatments, with cognitive and behavioral therapies as a central methods. In collaboration with you, I will pull in other treatment modalities such as person-centered therapy, strength-based therapies, internal family systems, narrative therapy, and expressive therapy. I am passionate about the continual development of my therapeutic skills and knowledge, always on the search for the best treatment options for you, the client.
I am a listener and motivator. I want you to show me your strengths. If you don't see them we will find them together. In life we often see the worst in a moment or our experiences. I want to help you see the strengths within the struggle that may be hidden from you. It is these strengths we build upon to discover hope, stability, and the means to move through the most difficult of life endeavors.
