I am enthusiastic about good mental health. I enjoy helping others live their best lives by improving their health and relational skills. I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Addictions Counselor. I have extensive experience helping persons overcome depression, anxiety and addictions. While I know exploration of childhood experiences aids in the development of healthy adult skills, I also specialize in practical solution-oriented therapy.

During our first session I will get to know you including your most pressing concerns and work with you to develop a plan to address those concerns quickly.

I believe in practical solutions to mental health issues. I think a positive outlook and focusing on solving problems in real-life situations and in short time frames works best to improve functioning and mood.

I have successfully used CBT to treat persons with depression and anxiety for years.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is an effective treatment for personality and relational issues. It provides many practical ways to manage relationships and emotions.
Motivational Interviewing
I have used MI for years to help persons struggling with addictions. It also can be used to aid in the treatment relationship and works well with helping to define problems even outside of addictions.
