Welcome. I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can feel scary and even a little overwhelming. You don’t have to have everything figured out, have the perfect words or even know exactly what you need. Therapy can be a place where you slow down and give yourself the space to sort through what’s been weighing on you. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and never judged. There is no pressure, no expectations, just a place where you can show up exactly as you are. Whether you’re moving through depression, anxiety, grief, major life changes, or everyday stress, we can explore what’s going on together and find approaches that support and help you move forward in a way that feels right for you. I bring over 30 years of experience, along with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with people in many different stages of life, and it’s taught me how resilient we are, even when it doesn’t feel that way. You don’t have to sort through everything alone. When you are ready, I’m here to walk alongside you as you find clarity and healing.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
It is important to me that you are comfortable so in our first session, we will talk about what you hope to get out of therapy, past experiences with therapy that you did and did not find helpful, create an individualized care plan, and what works best for you for follow-up sessions as we work together in achieving your goals.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
During my career, I have worked with people from all walks of life, some in their darkest hour, and have been humbled by their courage and perseverance. In our sessions, we can explore new perspectives, build self compassion, and develop practical tools that help ease symptoms and strengthen the resilience you already carry within you. At the core of my work is empathy. I’m committed to creating a space where you can speak freely, without fear of judgment, and know that you’re truly being heard and understood. And after more than 30 years in this field, I’ve pretty much heard it all, nothing you share will shock me, you’re safe to be completely honest here.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I really enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to make changes in their lives, gain insight, improve their mental health and want to be the best version of themselves they can be. Together, we will work through feelings of doubt, anxiety, fear, sadness, and whatever emotion comes along. At this time I am not accepting clients for couples or family therapy. If you have any thoughts of self harm or harming others, please call Lifeline, 988, go to any emergency room or call 911. “Suicide doesn’t end the chances of life getting worse, it eliminates the possibility of it ever getting any better.” – Unknown
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT techniques to help my clients identify and develop positive coping skills, change unhealthy behavioral and thought patterns, and empower them to take an active role in their healing.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I utilize DBT techniques to help my clients build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthy self-care and interpersonal skills. I walk with clients as they learn ways to manage intense feelings and find a path forward that allows them to heal.
Eclectic
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. I see each client as a unique, whole person and prefer to work collaboratively to build on their strengths. I am trained as a Systemic Family Therapist but as my practice has developed over the years, I have found value in pulling from other modalities to meet my clients needs including Gender Affirming therapy, Culturally Sensitive therapy, Compassion Focused Care, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

I appreciate that Aimee was very non judgmental when discussing a very sensitive topic . She also helped me think of some solutions to the issues I’m working on, which I appreciated. She’s easy to talk to .
