My name is Dr. Patrick Eneje, and I am a doctoral-prepared, licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Dr. Eneje specializes in psychiatric medication management as well as psychotherapy and sees adolescents and adults with a range of conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. My main goal is to alleviate pain and improve the quality of life through empathy and compassion. I provide person-centered, evidence-based care and will work with you to develop a treatment plan based on your beliefs. I appreciate collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure an integrated approach. My core belief is that every person is valuable, unique, and deserving of support and guidance throughout their life. I provide virtual and telehealth services through a secure and HIPAA-compliant video conference platform. Dr. Eneje received his Doctor of Nursing Practice and Masters Certification in Psychiatric Mental Healthcare from the University of Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, and he received an Associate of Science in Nursing from Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN. I will collaborate with you to treat your unpleasant mental health symptoms with medications. I practice constructive feedback, supportive listening, motivational interviewing. I also enjoy helping patients improve their mental health and manage their symptoms. Therapy and drugs can help, but they are not quick remedies. This approach requires a mutual commitment, including regular/continuous counseling until you feel ready to handle what brought you here. I consider it an honor to work with you and to provide a high-quality experience in a non-judgmental environment. Please also note that I do not provide opinions about disability or fitness to return to work or other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time that the request for such an opinion is made.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I establish therapeutic relationships with patients in the first session. My initial assessment gathers patient information, medical history, and treatment willingness. I also assess the patient's support system and treatment adherence difficulties. I dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Dr. Eneje adheres to values, ethics, standards, and laws when providing holistic and patient-centered care. Patient-driven, family-centered, and compassionate care is the basis for treatment plans that include psychotherapy and medication management for the best patient outcomes. Dr. Eneje's biggest strength is recognizing and coming up with a treatment plan. Mental health disorders addressed include but are not limited to ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, irritability, pessimism, hopelessness, insomnia, guilt, and many other symptoms.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. Through CBT, we work together to develop healthier ways of thinking and coping, with practical strategies you can apply in everyday life. It’s a structured, goal-oriented approach that’s effective for managing anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.

Psychoeducation

In my practice, I use psychoeducation as part of treatment to help you better understand your diagnosis, symptoms, and the factors that affect your mental health. By increasing your knowledge, you can make more informed decisions, recognize patterns, and feel more empowered in your treatment process. It’s an important tool for building insight and supporting long-term recovery.
