First of all, pat yourself on the back for taking that step towards a healthier more fulfilled you! Whether that ”You” is a hard working single mom living in survival mode, a young college student trying to figure out this whole adulting thing, or just a little human trying to make sense of your world, (or anyone in between) WE got this :) In my decade and a half of experience, I’ve worked with all ages from 4 to almost 80. I have specialized in kids with tough backgrounds and trauma but have also had great success with adults who just need someone in their corner to remind them of who they are and what they are capable of! Life can be tough but it doesn’t have to be unmanageable. Let me be your partner in healing and learning.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients should generally leave session with a sense of empowerment and direction. Some sessions may require more emotionally of you, so we will make sure you are ok before sessions end. In time, the goal is that we build trust and connection so that when we get to the hard stuff, you feel confident to take it on!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I tend to be person centered in my approach. I will follow your lead and will check in from time to time to ensure you feel you are getting what you need from our sessions. I am currently training in EMDR. For parenting with kiddos I rely heavily on TBRI practices as well as other connection based models. I do assign homework from time to time depending on the client and their needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I do great with kids of all ages, specifically kids who have trauma backgrounds or have been through tough transitions. I do well with young adults entering into adulthood and building on those life skills. I am bi-racial (B/W) and am sensitive to racial traumas and other cultural needs. I have done some great work with adults who are going through life transitions as well.
