(she/her)
Hey there! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Delaware and now your new healing bestie! I received my Masters from Wilmington University and have been practicing for 4 years. I help moms relieve symptoms of burnout, overwhelm and anxiety all while evolving to the best version of themselves. I do this with the GLO method. The process of combining God, self love and opportunities that being healed can give moms the opportunity to explore newer and healed versions of themself in a safe way.
Our first session together will feel like you're having a drink or a meal with friends. We will learn more about each other but most importantly what inspired you to get into therapy and your goals for therapy. We will also discuss strengths and what's working well to build upon the positives.
Having worked with moms in addition to being a mother myself , I've developed a solid playbook for helping you (1.) identify the root cause of your challenges and (2) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. Most importantly, I'm flexible. I realize that life has various twists, turns and unexpected changes so I work alongside my clients to adjust and address those changes as they come.
Imagine the woman who is the first on awake in her family but the last one to sleep every night. How about the woman who's trying to figure out who she is outside of her children, spouse, job or other duties. Envision the woman who cries in her shower or hides in her closet because she's overwhelmed but she's ashamed to say anything because she fears she'll be judged for not being able to handle it all. She's ready for change, she's ready to reach her goals and establish an identity that serves her and honors God.
I incorporate biblical principles such as prayer, fasting, as well as use of scripture
Using CBT provides practical tools and homework that supports client's healing and growth outside of therapy session.
When therapy begins I utilize ACT to help clients accept their situation without judgment and the freedom to explore their experiences and emotions.
