Welcome, my name is Derica Perez, I am thrilled to connect with you. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, board certified. I see patients across the lifespan, from kids ages 4 through adulthood. My goal is to provide you with the best possible individual care, providing you knowledge tailored to your needs, support from various angles, and feeling like we are working together to help you feel get to an overall better place. I help manage children, adolescents, and adults struggling with a variety of mental health disorders while using the most recent evidence-based practices. My goal is to help you understand, manage, and overcome the mental health stressors that are negatively impacting your daily life. I love to hear my patients tell me they have overcome their mental health struggles and are thriving in their daily lives.

I approach each individual with warmth, empathy, and focus that is entirely based on each patients unique needs. Through each one of our visits, together we will address concerns with your mental health and come up with a treatment plan that best fits your individual needs whether that be medication management, therapy referrals, or additional referral options, I am here to help you. First session
On our first session we will go over your current concerns, what prompted you to make the appointment. We will go over your mental health history, medical history, and current meds if any. We will go over what you feel has helped and what you feel has not been of any benefit. We will review your current concerns and then cover med options and together we will formulate a proper treatment plan tailored to you. Then we will schedule your follow up appointment for a few weeks out to review how things are going.
Strengths
I have many years of extensive experience with mental health disorders. Just to name a few: behavioral disorders, anger, depression, anxiety, PTSD, psychosis, ADHD symptoms, along with mood disorders. I also have vast experience with Autism. I currently see kids through adulthood and I am eager to help you through your mental health journey!
