LCSW, 17 years of experience
Hi, I'm Chester, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I have 17 years of experience in the field of mental health, primarily working with trauma-related disorders including PTSD, acute stress, anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive-compulsive (OCD), sleep disorders, and adjustment disorder. I am an Army Veteran with 4 years of active-duty service and have experience working with warzone Veterans and their families regarding issues of readjustment. I have a passion for helping individuals maximize their independence, health, and well-being. I meet clients where they are and create a space to build confidence, identify strengths and develop skills to achieve goals. I believe the therapeutic process allows new meaning for both therapist and client. Are you ready, I am!
Clients can expect genuineness, warmth, empathy, and respect. Clients will recognize their potential and move toward increased awareness, trust in self, and inner directedness. Clients can expect to be challenged to apply the therapeutic work that can lead to growth and positive change.
I utilize an evidence-based eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Stress Inoculation Training
My biggest strengths are helping clients gain a deeper understanding of their experiences, symptoms, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and developing healthy coping skills.
Adults who are able to actively participate in therapy.
