LCSW, 1 years of experience
Hello. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based out of Texas. Throughout my 18 years as a social worker, I have worked with families, survivors of domestic violence, and veterans. I have practiced as a therapist the past 8 years in general mental health. I have worked with a variety of clients providing therapy services for depression, PTSD, anxiety, anger management, and insomnia.
In the first session, we will begin with brief introductions and client expectations. We will discuss schedules and overall treatment goals.
I am truly a down to earth person. I believe I am easy to talk to and provide a supportive, non-judgement space to discuss anything freely.
I enjoy my work as a therapist to offer support and encouragement to others, especially in difficult times. I love hearing people's stories and being a safe space for them.

I truly appreciate meeting Yvette. I’m looking forward to our further sessions. I’m excited and anxious for what’s to come, but in a good way. I love to be challenged. I already feel I’m in good hands with how she approaches, listens, directs and acknowledges my circumstances and density of my situation. Thank you for your warm approach and authenticity. I can’t wait to look back, and thank you for your determination, commitment and patience you’ll be needing on dealing with my brain waves lol.

I am certified in CBT-I. I have found this brief, yet effective modality extremely helpful to clients struggling with poor sleep.
I am certified in CPT. CPT is a great option for clients who are ready to engage in trauma-focused therapy. It is a 12 week commitment centered on trauma and how trauma can impact different areas of life.
I have found CBT to be a very helpful approach to many different life stressors for a variety of clients. This modality allows clients to pause and be more aware of how thoughts relate to emotions and behaviors.
I encourage all clients to "look" at the whole story. Especially the client's strength in times adversity. We as humans, often forget our own strengths.
I believe there is big misunderstanding when it comes to mental health. I use psychoeducation on a regular basis to help clients understand the diagnosis including symptoms, coping strategies, and treatment options.
