Hello. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based out of Texas. Throughout my 18 years as a social worker, I have worked with families, survivors of domestic violence, and veterans. I have practiced as a therapist the past 8 years in general mental health. I have worked with a variety of clients providing therapy services for depression, PTSD, anxiety, anger management, and insomnia.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we will begin with brief introductions and client expectations. We will discuss schedules and overall treatment goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am truly a down to earth person. I believe I am easy to talk to and provide a supportive, non-judgement space to discuss anything freely.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy my work as a therapist to offer support and encouragement to others, especially in difficult times. I love hearing people's stories and being a safe space for them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

I am certified in CBT-I. I have found this brief, yet effective modality extremely helpful to clients struggling with poor sleep.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I am certified in CPT. CPT is a great option for clients who are ready to engage in trauma-focused therapy. It is a 12 week commitment centered on trauma and how trauma can impact different areas of life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have found CBT to be a very helpful approach to many different life stressors for a variety of clients. This modality allows clients to pause and be more aware of how thoughts relate to emotions and behaviors.

Strength-Based

I encourage all clients to "look" at the whole story. Especially the client's strength in times adversity. We as humans, often forget our own strengths.

Psychoeducation

I believe there is big misunderstanding when it comes to mental health. I use psychoeducation on a regular basis to help clients understand the diagnosis including symptoms, coping strategies, and treatment options.
