I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I focus on creating a supportive space where clients can explore their emotions and experiences. I specialize in trauma healing using techniques like EMDR, and I also work closely with clients managing ADHD, anxiety, and OCD, helping them find practical tools for a more balanced life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature and nurturing meaningful relationships, which helps me bring a holistic and compassionate approach to my work with clients.
In our intake session I’ll gather some information about your background, concerns, and goals for therapy. This session is your chance to share what’s bringing you to therapy and what you'd like to work on. I’ll listen closely, ask questions to better understand your experiences, and explain how therapy works. Together, we’ll start to create a plan for our sessions moving forward, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the process.
One of my core strengths as a therapist is my genuine empathy, which allows me to deeply understand and support my clients. I create a nonjudgmental, accepting space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions freely. I also focus on empowering clients, helping them tap into their inner strengths and develop the skills needed to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
I work best with motivated clients who desire change and are open to being challenged. I specialize in supporting individuals with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship issues, stress management, and women's issues, helping them develop effective coping skills and navigate life's challenges. My approach is compassionate, yet encourages growth and transformation.
In my sessions with clients, I apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to collaboratively address and transform negative thought patterns and behaviors. Together, we identify distorted thinking, challenge those beliefs, and work on cultivating healthier perspectives.
I employ Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist clients in processing and overcoming distressing or traumatic experiences. In sessions, I guide clients through sets of bilateral stimulation, often involving eye movements, to facilitate the brain's natural ability to heal from emotional wounds.
use psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore how past experiences, unconscious patterns, and relational dynamics influence their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through open dialogue, reflection, and insight-building, I guide clients in recognizing recurring themes, processing unresolved emotions, and developing healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
I incorporate a strength-based approach in my therapy sessions to empower clients by focusing on their existing strengths and resources. Together, we identify and build upon their positive qualities, skills, and resilience.
