First session
Your first session is designed to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported in a safe, confidential environment. During this initial appointment, we will take time to discuss your concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and personal goals for treatment. This comprehensive evaluation allows us to gain a deeper understanding of your unique experiences and develop a personalized plan of care tailored to your needs. Clients can expect a compassionate, judgment-free conversation where they are encouraged to speak openly and honestly at their own pace. Together, we will explore treatment options, which may include medication management, coping strategies, lifestyle recommendations, and ongoing support to help improve emotional wellness and daily functioning. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, express concerns, and gain clarity about the treatment process. My goal is to ensure that every client leaves feeling informed, understood, and hopeful about their journey toward healing and stability.

I recognize that every client’s journey is unique, which is why I take the time to listen carefully, understand individual challenges, and develop treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals. I specialize in treating individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and schizophrenia using evidence-based approaches that promote long-term emotional wellness and stability. My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, supportive therapy, medication management, and patient-centered counseling techniques designed to empower clients and encourage lasting positive change. I am passionate about helping clients feel seen, supported, and confident throughout their healing journey. My goal is to create a calm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where individuals can safely work toward improved mental health, greater resilience, and a better quality of life.
Ideal clients
“I like working with anxiety patients because their progress can often be seen in real time—especially when using tools like breathing or biofeedback. Seeing someone go from a high-stress physiological state to a calmer one during a session is very rewarding because it makes change feel concrete, not abstract.” 2. Skills make a noticeable difference “Anxiety work often involves teaching practical skills like breathing regulation, grounding, and awareness of body signals. I enjoy helping patients realize that they can actively influence their anxiety, rather than feeling controlled by it.” 3. High impact on quality of life “Anxiety can significantly affect sleep, work, relationships, and daily functioning. I find it meaningful to help patients regain activities they’ve been avoiding and rebuild confidence in situations that previously felt overwhelming.” 4. Patients are often motivated to improve “Many people with anxiety are highly motivated to understand what’s happening in their body and mind. That engagement makes the therapeutic process collaborative and dynamic.” 5. Transformation is very noticeable “I like that progress in anxiety treatment is often very visible—from panic and avoidance to increased tolerance and confidence. Even small improvements can create big life changes.” 6. It blends mind and body work “Anxiety treatment allows me to work with both psychological patterns and physiological responses. I find it interesting and satisfying to address both sides—thoughts and body sensations—together.”
Treatment methods
Biofeedback
A session usually involves attaching noninvasive sensors to the skin while the patient sees or hears feedback (for example, a screen showing heart rate variability or muscle activity). The therapist then guides the patient through techniques such as breathing exercises, progressive relaxation, or focused attention to help them change those signals in a desired direction. Over time, the patient is expected to internalize those skills so they can reproduce the regulation without the equipment. For example, someone with anxiety might learn to reduce sympathetic “fight-or-flight” activation by slowing breathing and observing their heart rate variability improve on the monitor.
