LICSW, 17 years of experience
New to Grow
Welcome! I’m Ronica Sobiech. Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me. Scheduling that first appointment for mental health can be tough. It is the hardest part of the journey. Finding a provider that fits your personality and needs can also be a challenge. Take a moment to get to know me to determine if you feel we will be a good fit to help you be a better version of you. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 17 years of experience providing clinical counseling to active-duty military service members, retirees, and their families. I graduated in 2003 from the University of Washington, School of Social Work. I have extensive experience assisting clients with a broad range of concerns, including crisis intervention, life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, and trauma/PTSD.
In our first session, my main goal is to build rapport and ensure that you feel comfortable and safe. We'll get to know each other, discuss your goals, and create a plan for our work together.
I am committed to creating an accepting and nurturing environment where you can feel safe to embark on your journey toward improved mental health.
Adults ages 18+ Military/Veterans I work primarily with adults, healing from trauma and are looking for support in managing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief and everyday life stressors.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts can significantly impact your feelings and behaviors. Together, we'll work on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns that keep you stuck. The goal is to reframe these thoughts into more balanced and realistic statements, helping you develop a healthier perspective and improve your emotional well-being.
I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you recognize and acknowledge your relationship with your thoughts and feelings. This approach focuses on being present in the moment and taking action to live each day in accordance with your core values, even when faced with difficult emotions or thoughts. We'll work on building psychological flexibility so you can live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
