I have over 15 years of experience working with people of all ages, races, and social classes. I have worked in the clinical setting, in the community, in K-12 education, at secure facilities, and in residential programs. I gained this experience growing up and attending undergrad in Wisconsin. I then moved to Atlanta, Georgia, were I attended graduate school. I worked in the school system in Atlanta and in Madison Wisconsin. I also lived abroad in South America for two years during covid. My current focus is on private practice and working in suicide prevention with Veterans at the VA Hospital in the Denver Metro Area.
"I didn't think therapy would be like this; It wasn't bad at all". That is something I have heard more times than I can remember. Therapy with me is a conversational, two people trying to increase our awareness.
I bring Authenticity; I provide a safe space to communicate, and I know the difference between blame and responsibility.
Life on the planet is stressful, and we don’t always feel like we have the energy to face it. The fact that you continue to face it is an accomplishment. You have the skills you need to achieve your goals. Often, we aren’t conscious of what causes us stress, nor are we aware of the memories that we hold physically. My strength in the field of mental health is in helping you to get “in the know.” So often in life, we become experts at everything except ourselves. We will identify your goals and then develop a plan to achieve them.
