New to Grow
I specialize in diagnosis and management of mental health conditions in adults. My role within the mental health team consists primarily of medication management. I received my medical training at UC San Francisco and completed psychiatric residency at UC San Diego. I have lived most of my life in the Bay Area and the Central Coast of California, and I am now very happy to call San Diego my home.
Our first session will consist of gathering basic mental health as well as medical health history. We will also spend some time getting to know each other and assessing how I can best be of help to you.
I am focused on integrative mental healthcare, which includes working directly with your therapist and other mental health professionals to design a treatment plan that is best for you. I understand that medication is only one tool available within the mental health sphere and not everyone requires use of that tool. I do, however, see value in everyone having a discussion about how medication may be of use to them alongside other therapeutic modalities. This collaborative approach allows you to select the treatment tools best fit for you.
I am interested in working with anyone who is curious about whether they could benefit from psychiatric medications. It is important to me to provide a comfortable space for those of the LGBTQ+ and GSRD (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity) communities to seek medical and psychiatric care, and that is a focus of the mental health integration network that I am building. I also have experience working with people who have previously been hospitalized or attended intensive outpatient programs as part of their psychiatric treatment. I believe that assistance in navigating your various past and future interactions with the mental health system is an important part of the care that you receive.
Integrative
While I specialize in medication management, I will work closely with your therapist to design a collaborative and personalized treatment plan.
