Hello there, I am Ayana. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with six years of experience in the field. I have had the opportunity to service individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental health disorders. I have additionally worked as a mental health crisis worker both in the community and inpatient hospital. I join my clients in partnering with them to help them to achieve the goals set out for them. I am dedicated to transcending boundaries culturally, generationally, and systemically through providing service to others. I am eager to serve those women who are in need. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will work together to get to know each other through short introductions. We will then review intake paperwork and assessments received at booking. We will discuss goals and the outcomes desired for treatment. You will be able to ask me any questions you may have.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinician, I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you can grow and heal. I like to create a space where you feel comfortable to be your authentic self.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will work together to explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. We will identify your current thought processes and how they may be influencing your actions. In doing so, we will help develop a way to help change these thoughts to help reduce symptoms.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my work as a mental health professional and psychotherapist, I have used person-centered therapy. My role in using this approach is to help provide a nonjudgmental space for self-exploration. In this approach, I would like to provide an empathetic understanding while we partner together in the therapy process.

Motivational Interviewing

The reality is that change can be difficult. Through motivational interviewing, we work to empower you to help make changes happen in your life. We will work to address some of the fears and insecurities that come along with the journey. We will help to identify the resources that you have to help make change happen for you.
