LCSW, 24 years of experience
I am originally from New York but have lived in Florida the majority of my life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree from University of Central Florida. My 24 years of human services and social work experience includes working with grief and loss, terminal illness, children and their families, case management and mental health counseling. I use an approach that is genuine and supportive and encourages authenticity.
I work with clients by taking an inside-out approach, focusing on identifying their strengths, needs, values, and goals. The client is actively involved in the treatment process and receives psychoeducation to understand the interventions being used and how they support progress. My approach is both authentic and direct, while also providing support and guidance as the client works through the challenges they face, helping them build insight, resilience, and practical strategies for meaningful change.
I utilize an inside-out approach, focusing on identifying the client’s strengths, needs, values, and goals to guide treatment. I engage clients collaboratively, ensuring they are actively involved in the therapeutic process and understand the purpose and effectiveness of interventions through clear psychoeducation. With extensive experience in a variety of theories and interventions, I use realistic examples to help clients understand and apply therapeutic concepts to their own lives. I demonstrate authenticity and directness while maintaining a supportive presence, providing guidance and encouragement as clients navigate challenges. This balanced approach fosters trust, insight, and emotional safety, while keeping therapy goal-oriented and aligned with the client’s personal values and meaningful outcomes.
