Hello! Firstly, good for you for taking a step toward taking care of yourself! I'm sure you'd like to know a little about me. I have been a clinician for 18 years and decided to do so after living in a family with mental illness and understanding the lasting impact this can have. I understand growing up with difficult experiences, and I'm here to hear you...to see you...to understand you. I am a mother of two children who both struggle with ADHD and significant anxiety. We rock this life together! I volunteer much of my time with after school programs for children/youth and with providing engaging activities for our senior population. I enjoy serving others and helping others find their inner genius! I am a spiritual person who believes in energy and the power of mindfulness and self reflection. My path has been influenced by loss that has created growth, and I have become stronger because of it!
Our first session will be focused on understanding your needs. I will lead this session and ask questions to understand you and your functioning. We will discuss background information, past diagnoses and treatment, current symptoms and needs, and develop a treatment goal and plan.
My clients often appreciate my genuine, authentic energy and ability to connect with them. I am down to earth and have experienced my own share of difficulty in life, and I am not here to judge you! We will work through these issues together!
My clients are often struggling with self-acceptance and self-esteem issues due to past trauma and negative experiences or loss. They often present with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression and want to learn skills to improve their overall functioning. We often work together on understanding their personal experiences, brain functioning, needs, and energy flow to create a holistic view of themselves and their needs in this life. Then we work toward empowerment and acceptance of all their beautiful qualities and learn how to use their particular gifts and strengths to experience their life to the fullest.
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
We cannot outrun our experiences. Our worlds will always consist of both positive and negative energy and events, and by accepting this and learning to live to the fullest, even with the negative experiences, we can change our entire functioning.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Self-awareness and mindfulness allow us to recognize how our thoughts affect our emotions and behaviors. CBT therapy will teach you how to reframe and restructure your thoughts to help reduce unhealthy and unhelpful behaviors. Coping strategies introduced by CBT will also help create healthier thought patterns to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT techniques are helpful with intense emotions. Learning to tolerate distress is imperative for healthy emotional experiences. We will discuss and practice healthy coping strategies and thinking patterns.

Stephanie is amazing. I am a hard shell to crack and don't open up easily. Stephanie makes me feel safe and comfortable to open up to things that are extremely hard to talk about. She handles me with compassion and strength. She is helping me find myself again, and more importantly, I am finding HOPE!
