Hello! I've been practicing as a therapist for almost four years and absolutely love what I do. My treatment approach is rooted in the concept that more than half of therapy is simply being with a therapist. I am direct and honest, and believe the therapeutic relationship is essential to making progress. I specialize in working with teens and young adults. At the minimum, I want our sessions to be a space where you can just be; there is no one to impress and no one that is going to judge you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to learn about you, what brought you here, and to answer any questions you may have. I want to ensure that my clients feel safe to be vulnerable with me and that they know I respect them so much for showing up. I have a very collaborative approach and that starts right away with developing a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a human being and I want my clients to see that in our sessions! I am definitely not a "blank slate" therapist and I think my personal experiences, emotions, and beliefs greatly impact how I interact with clients. I will call you out to hold you accountable, I will apologize when I make mistakes, and I will ALWAYS give praise, even if it's just for showing up to session.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am beyond grateful to be able to provide a safe space for my client's to process stress, learn new things, and have their most vulnerable moments. So much of the time we try to ignore or push away our problems, but part of my job is to remind you that its okay not to be okay and sometimes life just sucks. I love helping teens and young adults with all of the transitions that come with growing up, the good and the bad. I also have experience with and enjoy working with individuals with Autism.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been a go-to modality of mine since I began practicing four years ago. I find it to be effective at all ages and helps clients to feel more in control of their thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I find that Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to be extremely effective with teenagers and young adults that are struggling to cope with strong emotions or engaging in risky behaviors (i.e. substance use, self-injurious behaviors, unsafe sexual activity). To me, DBT is very practical and gives clients the tools to manage themselves with confidence.

Trauma Informed Care

I have a lot of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults with trauma, and I've found that using a trauma-informed approach allows the client to safely explore their history and other stressors in their life.
