When counseling, I look at the whole person not just the current situation. I take time to get to know you and understand your situation and/or concerns. I treat all my clients with the utmost respect and compassion. I use motivational skills to help my patients see their strengths and help them create achievable goals. I believe in breaking the big goal into smaller goals that lead to meeting that larger goal. I believe this creates positive reinforcement for my clients and improves their emotional health, during what could be a difficult time in their life. I look forward to helping you improve your mental health, one step at a time. I have 8 years of experience working with ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar, substance abuse and co-occurring.
It is EXTREMLY important for you to get your intake paperwork in 24-48 hours before your session, so that I can have a chance to thoroughly review it before our first session together and ensure that we're a fit to work together before officially beginning therapy together. If I feel I can not meet what you are needing, I will reach out and help you find another therapist. In our first session I will get to know you and ask a lot of questions regarding both mental health and physical health. I also allow for questions you may have towards the end of our session.
I have been licensed in Florida for 8 years as a therapist and working on year four in my own practice. I also hold a license as a Master Certified Addiction Specialist. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor, which is awarded based on education and expertise. I am also licensed in Virginia, Georgia and Connecticut .
I am happy to work with anyone ages 13 to 64 in Individual therapy. Please note I Am trauma informed not trauma trained, so if you are looking for trauma support, I am not the person for you, If you are needing support with ADHD, Anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, or mood disorders, I will do my best to help you. If I can not help you I will gladly refer you to someone who can help.

She listened to me and asked the right questions to help me talk about my issues. She formed her own opinions rather than regurgitating what other doctors have told me. She help point me in the right direction to get help specifically catered to my needs.

I really enjoyed my first session with introducing myself and exploring some areas of my life I wanted to learn more about. I felt like I was talking to a friend that could challenge me more on my thoughts and experiences to learn more about myself and even face some hard truths when necessary.
