I understand all of life's expectations and how hard it can be to find balance, especially during these difficult times. I have training in multiple styles of therapy, which allows me to adapt to your individual needs in therapy. I believe in working with you as a partner on your journey to healing. I have over 20 years of experience. My specialties are anxiety, women's issues and managing stress. I can teach you many coping skills, but I have specialized training in Mindfulness, which is proven to help with anxiety and managing stressors. I can teach you how to utilize Mindfulness in your everyday life to help you cope with your symptoms. I also have training in Women's issues and the struggle with balancing all of the roles in a woman's life. I look forward to working with you!
During your first session, you will be sharing your story with me. The "why" you are seeking counseling at this time. I will then share with you my insight and coping skills you can start utilizing right away to help you feel more grounded and able to manage your stresses, anxieties and other issues you may be struggling with.
I utilize a lot of Mindfulness techniques and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Mindfulness teaches us how to be "in the moment" and can help quiet an anxious mind. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is learning how our thoughts and feelings are connected. I also have training in multiple styles of other types of therapy and can adapt to your specific needs for therapy.
I feel my strength is helping women, in particular, manage their anxiety. I feel that women have so many roles to manage in their life, and I have been able to help countless women to feel more connected, grounded and learn how to live with their anxiety.
