Shaped by a wealth of life experience, I am a dedicated therapist specializing in the healing journeys of women and girls. My mission is grounded in compassion: to help you embrace self-compassion, build resilience, and rediscover your inner strength. I work with clients navigating a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma and PTSD, intimate partner violence, perinatal and postpartum concerns, and grief and loss. No matter where you are in your journey, you don't have to face it alone. My approach is deeply person-centered — meaning your goals, your pace, and your voice lead the way. I draw on evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to provide care that is both effective and tailored to your unique needs. Above all, I am here to walk alongside you — meeting you where you are and supporting you every step of the way toward the life you deserve.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I'll ask about your background, any previous therapy experiences, what's helped you in the past and what hasn't, your trauma history, and what you're hoping to achieve. From there, we'll build a treatment plan together — one that truly fits you.
Drawing from a rich tapestry of personal lived experience — including divorce, single motherhood, surviving intimate partner violence, and widowhood — I bring a deeply human perspective to my work with clients. I practice through a person-centered lens, leading with empathy and genuine curiosity to meet each individual exactly where they are.
My focus is helping women who may be navigating depression, anxiety, grief, or the aftermath of trauma, domestic violence, or sexual abuse. She might be moving through a life transition — a divorce, miscarriage, a new baby, a career shift, the end of a relationship — or struggling to hold everything together as a parent while still finding herself. She's carrying a lot, often quietly and alone and needs someone who will listen to her, understand, and help her take the next step.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used this method for many years to explain to clients that our thoughts, feelings/emotions, will in turn influence our behaviors.
EMDR
I have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy to help clients with trauma, PTSD, and other mental health disorders.
Grief Therapy
I provide therapy to individuals who have experienced grief and loss.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I believe in mindfulness based therapies which are especially effective with anxiety to center oneself.
Play Therapy
I have learned many play therapy techniques over the years including sandtray play.
