About me

Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. In 2018, I graduated from George Mason University with a Master's degree in Social Work. I have worked in the mental health field since 2016 but began my career as a practicing mental health clinician in 2019. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ communities across various therapeutic settings (i.e., outpatient, school-based, intensive in-home, community-based, therapeutic day treatment, and residential). I have helped children, adolescents, young adults, and families add healthy coping skills to their toolboxes. My goal is to empower, educate, and help future clients navigate their life stressors.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we start with brief introductions, then unpack the reasons that brought you into therapy, and then we will create a plan to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have developed a distinguished skill set in working with individuals from various age groups. I specialize in the identification of underlying needs that influence behaviors. I desire to help my clients by providing a deeper dimension of clarity, insight, and awareness.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about working with teenagers and young emerging adults on stress management and interpersonal relationships. It can be a transitional time with many life transitions such as schooling, entering the workforce, relationships, and changes in family dynamics. All these transitions can be a mixed ball of emotions to navigate on your own.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT for 4 years. CBT is an evidence-based treatment that's most effective in treating depression, anxiety, and a myriad of other mental health needs. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We will learn how to control distressing/negative thoughts and learn how to change them to a healthy thinking pattern.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I've been using mindfulness-based interventions for 4 years. Mindfulness focuses on paying attention to the "here and now", and developing a non-judgemental attitude through meditation, deep breathing exercises, and present-moment awareness. We'll use mindfulness to help manage anxiety, stress, and/or depression.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma is common, but that doesn't always mean providers/systems will be mindful of that. Trauma-informed care is a framework for how trauma shapes us and how we cope with adversities. A lot of my experience has been working with individuals with complex and compounded trauma histories. As a result, this has made me more mindful as to how I can be a "safe space" for others while also empowering them to move on in their healing journeys.
