Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dually licensed in California and Florida. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from George Mason University in 2018 and have worked in the mental health field since 2016. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and individuals from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities across a variety of settings, including outpatient, school-based, intensive in-home, community-based, therapeutic day treatment, and residential programs. I believe that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to heal and grow. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build healthy coping skills, navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, and break patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you're facing anxiety, past trauma, relationship difficulties, or a major life transition, I'm here to help you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
During our first session, we'll take some time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals. Together, we'll begin identifying what you'd like to work toward and create a personalized plan to guide our future sessions. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with individuals across different stages of life and create a space where they feel seen, heard, and understood. I specialize in identifying the underlying thoughts, emotions, unmet needs, and life experiences that drive behaviors and patterns. Rather than focusing only on the symptoms, I help clients gain deeper clarity, insight, and self-awareness so they can better understand themselves, break unhelpful cycles, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed by anxiety, is navigating a significant life transition, or is trying to make sense of difficult family relationships. You may be adjusting to becoming a new mom or parent, balancing the demands of work and family, or feeling stretched thin by the expectations placed on you. You may also be carrying the weight of complex family dynamics, unresolved childhood experiences, or patterns that continue to affect your relationships today. Together, we'll create a safe, supportive space to explore what's holding you back, better understand the root of your struggles, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with greater confidence, self-compassion, and resilience. My goal is to help you break unhelpful cycles, strengthen your sense of self, and build a life that feels more aligned with your values.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the primary evidence-based approaches I use to help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life challenges. CBT focuses on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, helping you understand how each influences the other. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and responding.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I have been incorporating mindfulness-based interventions into my practice for several years to help clients build greater self-awareness and emotional balance. Mindfulness encourages us to slow down, focus on the present moment, and observe our thoughts and emotions with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, we'll use mindfulness techniques, such as grounding exercises, deep breathing, meditation, and present-moment awareness, to help reduce stress, manage anxiety and depression, and create a greater sense of calm and resilience in your daily life.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma is more common than many people realize, yet not every provider or system approaches care through a trauma-informed lens. I understand that our past experiences can shape the way we think, feel, relate to others, and cope with life's challenges. Much of my clinical experience has been working with individuals who have experienced complex and chronic trauma. This has strengthened my commitment to creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and empower you to move forward in your healing journey at a pace that feels right for you.
