Welcome — I’m a client centered therapist dedicated to meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you grow into the strongest version of yourself. My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help you understand and reframe distressing thoughts, build emotional regulation skills, and create meaningful change in your daily life. I also incorporate somatic practices informed by the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) to support nervous system regulation, reduce anxiety, and promote overall wellness. These body-based tools can help you reconnect with a sense of safety, grounding, and resilience. Above all, I offer an accepting and affirming space where you can show up as your full, authentic self. Your story matters, and I look forward to understanding it — and supporting you as you move toward healing, clarity, and wellbeing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, I want to get to know you; understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I genuinely care about the people I work with, and I strive to create a space where you can speak openly and feel understood without judgment. My hope is that you leave each session not only feeling heard, but also more prepared and supported in facing life’s challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I believe therapy should start with meeting you where you are. Everyone’s experiences, needs, and goals are different, so our work together will be tailored to what feels most important to you. I often encourage building coping skills; at the same time, I recognize that not everyone connects with structured tools or coping skills right away—or at all. I also offer space for open, supportive talk therapy, where you can process your experiences, explore your thoughts and emotions, and gain deeper understanding of yourself. Goals may include but not limited to: Managing anxiety or stress more effectively, improving mood and emotional balance, as well as developing a healthier and more supportive mindset. Rather you are wanting to build coping skills or seeking a safe space to be heard, my goal is to support your growth in a way that feels, safe and collaborative.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing CBT methods in counseling for the past 7 years. CBT methods typically address symptoms of Depression or Anxiety. CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected. Sometimes we get stuck in patterns of thinking that can cause distress or keep us from doing things that would actually help. In therapy, we’ll work on noticing those patterns and finding more helpful ways to think and respond.

Somatic

I have utilized somatic methods, specific to the Trauma Resiliency Model, for the past 5 years. This approach focuses on how your body responds to stress and trauma, not just your thoughts. Sometimes your nervous system can get stuck in a state of overwhelm or shutdown, even when you’re safe. We’ll work on helping your body feel more settled and balanced. You might learn: Grounding techniques to help you feel calm and present, noticing sensations in your body, and how to initiate/focus on sensations that provide calmness and relief.

Faith based therapy

If your faith or spirituality is important to you, we can include that in our work together. For many people, faith is a powerful source of strength, comfort, and guidance.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

A big part of DBT is mindfulness, which means learning how to stay present and aware of what you’re thinking and feeling—without immediately reacting to it. From there, we may build skills to help you handle stress, regulate emotions, and communicate your needs more effectively.”
