Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has served within the field for 7 years. I am looking to support and guide those struggling with anxiety, depression and life transitions as this world can offer some tough moments for anyone.

Having worked with adolescents and adults, I have developed a relatable and approachable style to aid in creating a comfortable environment for new individuals.

I work with different therapy modalities that include DBT and CBT to understand an individual's thoughts process and how this affects their actions/behaviors. I want to collaborate on your goals to increase a positive outlook for your individual needs.

First session

In our first session, clients are welcomed with empathy and compassion to taking the first step in receiving help. I'll introduce the process and we'll dive into assessing their current presenting issues for seeking therapeutic support. We will identify goals that suit their needs and steps for follow-up sessions.

Strengths

Having worked with adolescents and adults, I have developed a relatable and approachable style to aid in creating a comfortable environment for new individuals. I practice patience and grace within sessions to foster a supportive environment for growth and tailor my direct approach to where the client sees fit. I am always eager to gain additional knowledge to provide understanding within the client experiences and to make sure to remain competent within my scope of practice.

Ideal clients

I love working with young adults who may be college age or even within their 30's and 40's; however, adolescents have been a big part of my career. My clients are either within grade school/college trying to balance all aspects of personal and social needs that includes dating, friendships or the beginning of their careers. Or are married, divorced or single and wanting a guide and support through later life transitions. These individuals may feel stuck, overwhelmed or out of touch with the person they aspire to be.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT with all of my clients to connect their thoughts and feelings to understand their actions. I collaborate with each client to identify their cognitive distortions through real-life experiences and how to utilize techniques to decrease them.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I've worked with individuals and groups to increase their skill toolkit for emotional and behavioral needs. While working with DBT, I have explored with individuals how these skills can enhance their quality of life through regulating their emotions, decreasing their distress, incorporating more mindful activities, and communicating their needs.

Grief Therapy

I work within the grief process to collaborate with individuals on their current position within their experience and how to maneuver through each phase with grace and understanding towards themselves. I support and guide with building an individuals' coping skills and support system outside the therapeutic process.

Psychoeducation

I have knowledge through aspects of different diagnoses, human development and mental health needs to engage in an individuals understanding and increased awareness as it aligns with their goals.
