I’m Maura Lynch, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a background in both mental health and maternal-child nursing. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, with a focus on evidence-based care that integrates both medication management and therapeutic support. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded. I meet you where you are and work with you to find real solutions that fit your life.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your current symptoms, personal history, and what’s bringing you in now. You’ll have space to share at your own pace, there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll talk through your goals, what’s worked or not worked in the past, and whether medication, therapy, or both might be helpful. By the end of the session, we’ll have a plan in place and next steps to move forward together.
As a woman, a mom, and a nurse, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work. I understand firsthand how heavy the mental load can be and how often women put themselves last. My greatest strengths lie in my ability to offer compassionate, practical, and straightforward care, no fluff, no judgment. I help clients make sense of their symptoms, understand what’s driving them, and build a treatment plan that actually fits their life. Whether we’re working through anxiety, depression, burnout, or big life transitions, I show up as a clinician and a real person who gets it.
I work best with women who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or stretched too thin—whether due to anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions like pregnancy, postpartum, or career stress. Many of my clients are high-functioning but silently struggling, often putting others first while their own needs go unmet. I’m here to help you untangle the mental load, challenge the self-doubt, and build a more grounded, sustainable way of living.
Supportive
I utilize a supportive, collaborative style in treatment, focusing on building a therapeutic alliance that fosters trust, open communication, and patient engagement. My approach emphasizes validation, encouragement, and practical coping strategies, helping patients feel understood while empowering them to work toward their goals. I specialize in psychiatric medication management, carefully evaluating the effectiveness, tolerability, and risks of pharmacologic treatment. I integrate medication support with psychoeducation and brief supportive interventions, ensuring patients have both the medical and emotional guidance needed for sustained recovery.
