LCSW, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
Welcome, I'm Rachel, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion and clarity. I provide a safe, supportive space where we can work together to reduce stress, improve relationships and build on your strengths. My approach is collaborative, practical and tailored to your unique needs so you can feel more balanced in your daily life.
During our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you can begin sharing what brings you to therapy. We will talk about current concerns, some background information, and what you hope to get out of therapy and some of your past experiences with therapy. I'll ask you questions to help understand your experiences, strengths and goals, and together we'll start to outline a plan that feels manageable and realistic for you.
What makes me unique as a therapist is my ability to balance warmth and practicality - helping clients feel heard while also focusing on realistic steps toward change. I bring years of experience supporting adults and older adults from my years working in a hospital setting. In my practice I utilize a solution-focused and strength-based approach to help clients to identify what's already working and build confidence in their ability to cope and grow.
My ideal client is an adult or an older adult who is navigating a major life transition, loss or change in their identity such as retirement, caregiving, grief, relationship changes, or adjusting to health concerns. They may feel overwhelmed or uncertain about their next steps, but they are motivated to find clarity and meaning. They value a supportive, down-to-earth therapeutic relationship where they can explore their emotions, gain perspective, and develop practical coping strategies to improve their well-being and quality of life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment an approach that is collaborative and empowering, grounded in the belief that you already hold many of the tools needed for change. My role is to help you uncover them, strengthen them, and apply them in ways that support lasting well-
