(he/him)
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in California, working with clients via telehealth. My approach to therapy is characterized by a person-centered and holistic perspective, emphasizing the importance of creating a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their emotions and challenges. My focus areas of practice encompass anxiety and stress management, trauma recovery, and promoting self-esteem and personal growth, utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
During a first session with me, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and confidential space to begin their therapeutic journey. I take time to listen carefully to each person’s concerns, ask thoughtful questions to better understand their experiences, and work collaboratively to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. We’ll explore the reasons for seeking therapy, discuss relevant background information, and identify key areas to focus on in future sessions. I also explain what to expect from the therapy process and encourage clients to ask questions or share any concerns. My priority is to ensure that clients feel safe, supported, and empowered from the very beginning.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported. I take a collaborative, client-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, respect, and empowerment. My flexibility in drawing from various evidence-based methods—such as CBT, solution-focused therapy, and strength-based techniques—allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. I am culturally sensitive and mindful of individual identities and experiences, which helps foster trust and connection. Clients often share that they appreciate my thoughtful, down-to-earth style and the practical tools they gain to create meaningful, lasting change.
I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families from a wide range of backgrounds. I treat various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and self-esteem issues. With experience supporting clients across different cultures, age groups, and identities, I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where you can feel heard and supported. My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges and move toward meaningful change and healing.
I regularly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice to help clients recognize and challenge negative thought patterns. This approach is especially effective for treating anxiety, depression, and stress-related issues. I guide clients through setting goals, developing coping strategies, and practicing new behaviors. CBT provides a structured framework that supports lasting change and personal growth. I also assign exercises between sessions to help clients apply what they've learned in their daily lives.
I incorporate Person-Centered Therapy into my practice by creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and accepted. My experience with this approach has shown that unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity are key to fostering self-growth and healing. I trust in each client’s capacity for self-understanding and personal change when given the right environment. Rather than directing the session, I follow the client’s lead, offering support and reflection as they explore their thoughts and emotions. This method helps build a strong therapeutic relationship, which is the foundation for meaningful progress.
I regularly use psychoeducation in my practice to help clients better understand their mental health conditions and the factors that influence their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My experience has shown that when clients are informed, they feel more empowered and engaged in their treatment process. I tailor the information to each individual’s needs, using clear language and practical examples. Psychoeducation is often integrated into sessions to support skill-building, reduce stigma, and enhance coping strategies. It also strengthens collaboration, as clients become active participants in their own growth and recovery.
I use Solution-Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) to help clients identify and build on their existing strengths and resources to create positive change. My experience with this approach has shown it to be effective, especially when clients are seeking practical, goal-oriented support. In sessions, I focus on what’s working well, help clients envision their preferred future, and guide them in taking small, actionable steps toward that vision. I ask solution-focused questions that highlight successes and encourage forward movement. This method is collaborative, time-efficient, and empowering, making it a valuable tool in my practice.
I regularly apply a strength-based approach in my practice to help clients recognize and build on their existing abilities, values, and resilience. My experience with this method has shown that focusing on strengths fosters confidence, motivation, and a sense of hope. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their personal resources and how they’ve successfully navigated past challenges. This perspective shifts the focus from problems to possibilities, empowering clients to take meaningful steps forward. I integrate strength-based techniques into goal setting, problem-solving, and overall treatment planning.
