Hi, I’m Lauren, a therapist who works with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, and big life transitions. I support people who are ready to explore their inner world and create meaningful change—even when the path feels unclear or overwhelming. I often use metaphor, imagery, and creative approaches in therapy to help make sense of complex emotions and experiences. My goal is to help clients feel more connected to themselves, more grounded in their nervous systems, and more empowered in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is all about beginning to build a connection and creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and heard. We’ll take time to explore what brought you to therapy and start understanding the challenges you're facing from your perspective. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable—we go at your pace. I’ll also share a bit about how I work, what therapy with me might look like, and we’ll talk together about your hopes for this process. We’ll begin identifying some initial goals so we have a sense of direction, while leaving room for things to shift and evolve as we go. My role is to be a guide and collaborator, and I welcome your questions, feedback, and insights along the way. This first session is just the beginning of getting to know you—your story, your strengths, and what healing can look like for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to hold deep, compassionate space while also gently guiding clients toward meaningful change. I’m not afraid to sit with the hard stuff—grief, trauma, shame—and I do so with warmth, patience, and curiosity. I bring a creative lens to therapy, often using metaphor, imagery, and nervous system wisdom to help clients access insight and healing in ways that go beyond just talking. What makes me unique is the way I blend depth and structure—I can help you unpack long-held patterns, while also offering practical tools you can use outside of sessions. I value authenticity, and I bring my full self into the room: grounded, attuned, and human. My clients often tell me they feel truly seen, supported, and empowered in our work together.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you’re someone who feels things deeply, who’s been through hard things and learned how to keep going—but you’re tired of just surviving—I see you. You might be the one who holds it all together on the outside, but inside, it feels overwhelming, disconnected, or heavy. I get it, because I’ve done my own healing work, too. I work best with clients who are curious, open to reflection, and motivated to keep doing the work in between sessions—not perfectly, but intentionally. You value depth, creativity, and space to explore the “why” behind your patterns. Together, we’ll gently untangle what’s keeping you stuck, so you can reconnect with your truest self and feel more grounded, clear, and whole.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR therapy in my work to help clients move through past trauma and feel more grounded in the present. It’s a powerful tool for unlocking stuck emotions and creating space for healing on both a mental and nervous system level.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a big part of how I support clients who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or stuck in patterns that aren’t working for them. I use it to teach practical skills like staying present, setting boundaries, and coping in healthy ways, while also creating space for self-compassion and growth

Grief Therapy

Grief is deeply personal, and I hold space for people to move through it at their own pace. In grief therapy, I help clients make sense of their loss, process the pain, and begin to reconnect with life in a way that feels authentic and honoring of what they’ve lost.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients notice the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we work on challenging negative thinking patterns and building new tools to respond to life’s challenges in more helpful, empowering ways.
