You can feel better, reconnect with others and create the life & relationships you desire. One of the most caring actions you can make for yourself and your loved ones is seeking help. If you are at this point, please know that with the right guidance, new insights & skills, and a trusting relationship, therapy (short term or long term) can help. I specialize in helping adults, teens & couples manage anxiety, depression, transitions, loss, & relationships. My background also includes professional experience in business, corporate sector, Biotech/Pharma, military, and healthcare prior to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My therapeutic style is personable & interactive (with a bit of humor ; ). Clients can take with them a sense of relief, validation, respect for their perspective, new insights and new coping skills. Not everyone needs therapy long term, and our work together should empower you, expand your connections and clarify your personal 'next steps'.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have specialties treating Teens, Men's Issues & Early Psychosis. I can provide afternoon and evening appointments to meet the needs of working professionals, business owners, busy parents, teens & families. As an experienced Psychotherapist with a Clinical Social Work foundation, I do believe in being client-centered and strengths' based in our work. I am flexible in my approach to meet your needs: some clients prefer - short-term, solution-focused therapy, and others benefit from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and/or cognitive behavioral approaches. In addition, for some clients I believe in medication referral (short or long term), as an invaluable to help you better learn, cope and overcome your issues. The choice is always yours.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My therapeutic style is personable & interactive (with a bit of humor ; ). Clients have expressed I have an engaging, at times irreverent, warm and compassionate approach. In addition to 17+ years of clinical experience, I believe that the right fit of therapist to the client is VERY important, in order to feel safe, respected and to facilitate change. I can also incorporate holistic approaches and respect if you would benefit from additional referrals, such as acupuncture, meditation, specialized group therapy, nutritionists, and so forth. As a Clinical Social Worker, I have extensive knowledge of specialized resource referrals to further assist you and your family - culturally appropriate resources, specialized group therapy support, financial, supplemental reading, online resources.
